T.I.P.S.

  • Lightbulb Students should use their prior knowledge and exposure to number lines to be able to represent equally spaced whole numbers on a number line and determine the distance by the number of whole units between the starting point and ending point. Students should understand that a number line is represents the distance from zero and the scale of the number line can vary depending on the distance between the tick marks.
