Example

  • Draw a picture and a write a number sentence for each of the following problems.

    a) There are 6 snakes sitting on the rocks. Two more snakes slithered over. How many snakes are on the rocks now?

    b) There are 8 frogs sitting on a log. Five frogs hopped off. How many frogs are left on the log?
